About us

Manuel Pompa is a physician associate (PA) now relocated to Waikato from Arizona, USA. His prior experience includes working in family practice where he enjoyed caring for his patients' acute and chronic needs of all ages. His favourite aspects of working include patient education, treating a wide array of chronic conditions, addressing mental health concerns, and discussing ways to prevent medical issues (such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol, and heart issues). The most satisfying part of his work is building lasting relationships with his patients. He completed his master's degree in physician associate studies and obtained accreditation by the NCCPA in 2020.

When not in clinic, Manuel spends most of his time with his family. During his spare time he is often cycling, tramping/hiking, cooking, and photographing landscapes. He is also an avid Formula 1 fan. Manuel is very excited to explore every aspect of New Zealand/Aotearoa.
